ENUGU —IGBO socio- cultural organisation, Alaigbo Development Foundation, ADF, has tasked ethnic nationality groups in Nigeria, clamouring for political restructuring of the country, to make haste and draw a realistic and immediate plan on how to achieve restructuring of the country before next year’s general elections. The group promised in this regard to cooperate and give necessary assistance to nationality groups such as Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Afenifere, Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, the Middle Belt Forum and all other socio-cultural organizations of the indigenous peoples of Nigeria, for the common goal of the oppressed peoples of this nation. Governor Ayodele Fayose, of Ekiti state has asked workers to collect their outstanding four months salary arrears from the incoming governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi. He said the monies he could have used to pay them as expected had been withheld by the Federal Government for Fayemi’s resumption. “They paid other states Paris Refund, they didn’t pay Ekiti; Fayemi should help me pay the money. “They didn’t pay N2.2bn Budget Support Fund; my promise is fulfilled but the money is in the hands of government, they should help me to pay.” Fayose spoke on Wednesday, 20th of October, 2018 during the inauguration of a new school he built in his Afao-Ekiti home country as part of his legacies projects. Federal Government says it has disbursed about N2 billion to more than 14, 000 poor people in Kwara since 2016 under its National Cash Transfer (CCT) programme. Hajia Aminah Yahaya, the Unit Head of the programme in Kwara state, said this on Wednesday, 10th of October, 2018 in Ilorin at a stakeholders’ meeting on Co-Responsibility Selection. Aminah explained that the scheme, which started in Kwara two years ago, had beneficiaries across the 16 local government councils of the state. According to her, the beneficiaries from Offa were able to save N15 million out of what people would describe as meagre, which had been disbursed for the businesses. She said that Kwara was among the first eight pilot states of the cash transfer programme. On the Co-Responsibility Programme, she explained it was a top up programme to the existing cash transfer to be assisted by the World Bank.
